WELCOME TO THE HOFHEINZ HOUSE

“It was the perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner—a setting of home-like luxury, ideal for the blending of two families. And the food!! The food was incredible!” Katie Butler, San Francisco, CA – May, 2013

Welcome to the historic Hofheinz House, one of Houston’s most distinctive private event venues. Built in 1912, this gracious Craftsman-style mansion was owned for decades by the legendary Houston Mayor “Judge” Roy Hofheinz, who regularly hosted his great friend, President Lyndon Baines Johnson, as well as numerous other influential business and political leaders throughout the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Lovingly restored in 2008 to an uncommonly warm and welcoming ambience, the house is now owned by upscale caterer Barbara McKnight, founder of CULINAIRE-Inspired Cuisine and Events. The Hofheinz House is particularly well suited for rehearsal dinners, small wedding receptions (no ceremony), cocktail receptions and wine dinners. CULINAIRE provides all food and beverage services, and other vendors such as florists, photographers, and live entertainment may be chosen from a preferred list.

The venue has seating space for 70+ guests and may accommodate a reception with partial seating for up to 125 guests. Outdoor space is available, and tenting options exist for indoor-outdoor events.
